The Professional Poker Tournament, or shortly the PPT, is a new poker tournament that spun off of the World Poker Tour television show (WPT). It is due to be aired in the summer of 2006. The two commentator for this poker tournament are renowned tournament poker experts Matt Corboy and Mark Seif.
Players participating in the Professional Poker Tournament do not need money to participate in the tournament. This means that entry for the poker tournament is free, even though there are huge amounts of money prizes.
Each professional poker tournament offers large tournament prizes of $200,000.
The Tournament has 5 parts. Each part is broadcasted in a different show. The first four quarters are played in order to decide upon the 6 final players. They will play in the fifth and final poker tournament show. Only the top six poker players receive money prizes in this poker tournament.
The PPT is Exclusive and only 136 players are invited to the poker tournament. The PPT is perhaps the most exclusive Poker Tournament game in the world. The players of the PPT are invited according to the following factors:
The Professional Poker Tournament is performed in five of the most prestigious casinos in the world. The winner of the Professional Poker Tournament receives $200,000 and the prestigious title of PPT Champion.
